Banque centrale du Luxembourg - Exchange of banknotes & coins

The exchange of monetary signs includes different categories :

mutilated banknotes & coins,
destroyed banknotes & coins,
banknotes & coins that have been withdrawn from circulation after losing their legal tender.

The Bank, as an issuing institution, is in charge of providing an exchange of such banknotes and coins in euros or banknotes in Luxembourg francs.

The exchange is offered at the Central Bank under strict regulations.
