The silver collector coin commemorates the European Investment Bank - 50th anniversary.

This coin is the last element of a series of 7 coins dedicated to the European institutions, started in 2002 and ending in 2008. The coin shows the following characteristics:
The observe bears the new building of the European Investment Bank, the stylized representation of the figure "50" on the background of the "EIB" logo, the indication "European Investment Bank", the indication of the years "1958" and "2008" as well as the face value "25 Euro"
The reverse depicts HRH the Grand Duke Henri, as designed by the Luxembourg artist Mrs. Yvette Gastauer-Claire, and bears the indication "LËTZEBUERG", the euro symbol "€" and the year "2008"
Minted in "proof" quality, the coin has a smooth edge, a diameter of 37 mm, a thickness of 2,2 mm, weights 22,85 gr and has a fineness of 0,925 silver
The coin is legal tender in Luxembourg with its nominal value set at 25 €
