«The boar from the Titelberg»
This bronze boar found on the Titelberg and belonging to the end of the second Iron Age and dated 1st century BC, was given to the Museum in 1934. This statuette 35 mm high, 45 mm long and 29 mm thick, made of cast bronze with a black greenish patina, was widely spread in Gaul. The observe of the coin shows a representation of the boar from Titelberg and the face valu "10 €". The reverse bears the effegy of HRH the Grand Duke Henry looking to the right. It is the work of the Luxembourg artist Mrs. Yvette Gastauer-Claire. It also bears the indication "LETZEBUERG" and the year "2006".
