What do I need to do to participate in this survey?
There are no special requirements. Your household has been selected in order to reflect the composition of the Luxembourgish population.
How do I proceed?
You do not need to take any initiative. One of the interviewers will contact you in the coming days in order to fix an appointment. The interviewers work for CEPS/INSTEAD. This research institute conducts the survey on the account of the BCL.
When and where can I meet the interviewer?
Of course you are free to choose the place, date and time of your interview.
What is the approximate length of an interview?
On average, the interview lasts one hour. However, this length can vary according to the situation and size of the household.
Can I use personal financial documents in order to answer faster?
Yes, of course. If you can consult your documents; this will help the interviewer.
Do all members of my household need to attend?
Some of the questions will be addressed to each household member over 16, so it is recommended that they be present but it is not strictly necessary.
Who will have access to my replies?
The data collected will only be used for statistical and scientific purposes. All data will be treated strictly confidentially, complying with BCL statutes on confidentiality and Luxembourg data protection law (Loi luxembourgeoise modifiée du 2 août 2002 relative à la protection des personnes à l'égard du traitement des données à caractère personnel). The information will be analysed and presented only in an anonymous form.
