Information and launch meeting on Tuesday 18 Novembre from 4:00 to 5:30pm at the BCL. Write to generationeuro@bcl.lu to register.

The Banque centrale du Luxembourg (BCL) will organize a new edition of the “Generation €uro Students' Award” school competition, which aims to convey a better understanding of the role of the central banks and monetary policy.
The competition is open to high school students aged 16 to 19, who participate in teams by completing three written or oral rounds taking place from November to April. This year, the format has been revised to further strengthen its educational dimension.
Once registered, teams will be able to take part in the first event, an online quiz with 30 questions. The best teams at the end of this event will qualify for the second event, in which the teams will have until 4 February 2026 to propose a monetary policy decision. The top five teams from this second round will participate in the final in March 2026, where they will have to explain to a jury of BCL experts the reasons for their new monetary policy decision.
All students taking part in the final of the "Generation €uro" competition will be awarded a prize and a certificate of achievement. The winners will participate in a study trip to the European Central Bank in Frankfurt and will have the opportunity to complete a summer internship at the BCL.
An information and launch meeting will be organised at the BCL at 2 boulevard Royal, Luxembourg, on Tuesday 18 Novembre from 4pm to 5:30pm.
For organisational reasons, teachers and students interested in attending this meeting should register by sending an email to generationeuro@bcl.lu by 11 Novembre at the latest.
